The Picker’s Shack
The Pickers’ Shack – We call it the “Fisteris,” It’s an old bunkhouse overlooking our 34th street blueberry field in Bangor. It opened last year to rave reviews from people wanting a special farm experience. 4 guests 1 bedroom 2 beds 1 bath.
Glamping
We have three clamping ( glamor camping) sites up and running. For the price of a moderate hotel room, you can camp among the blueberry rows or on a tranquil spot next to the Black River. Away from the madding crowds. Book through tentrr.com.
Tenting
Tenting – We offer overnight tent camping spots at our farm via Hipcamp.com. Pitch your tent in a row of towering organic blueberry bushes or take a day long’s deep breath in consideration of the Feng Shui. There may, or may not be a secret swimming hole nearby. Get lost for an afternoon and find it’s rope swing. There is a vintage bicycle collection onsite. There may be a few laying around to borrow for the ride into town (2.5 miles).
Just 10 miles inland from South haven, the nearby town of Bangor has a gritty small farmer’s charm, scratching by with pride in a city that’s never been discovered. A brewery, meadery, and a few restaurants pepper the main drag. Also, Bangor is accessible by Amtrak.
Butternut Creek Lodge
Butternut Creek Lodge – Quiet and secluded, rest your wheels, forget traffic and parking! Located just 0.3 miles from the Kal Haven trail, a leisurely 20 minute bike ride (3 miles) puts you in the quaint Lake Michigan town of South-haven. Or 1.5 hour by kayak to view the vibrant wetlands before you hit the beach.
